Role:  Salesforce environment Engineer (EL1)

Client: Federal Government Agency

Location: VIC QLD ACT NSW SA

Contract duration: 2x12 months

Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Baseline clearance

Seeking an experienced and energetic Salesforce Environment Engineer to join a dynamic fast-paced team of a federal government agency. Open to various locations, the role requires strong hands-on capabilities along with well-developed management skills including team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work collaboratively across various functions.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with overall team strategy and planning.
  • Provide technical leadership to the environments Team.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce environment plans.
  • Lead the creation and ongoing management of the Environments Team’s service catalogue.
  • Execute hands-on critical and complex Salesforce administration tasks to support releases, CI/CD and new projects and environment changes.
  • Ensure standards and support processes are continually reviewed and improved
  • Seek out automation opportunities for improved management of the Salesforce landscape.
  • Troubleshoot Salesforce issues and work with internal parties and external vendors to resolve them.
  • Develop environment and code management plans to support Release plans to deploy projects and BAU fixes into production.
  • Manage support tickets with Salesforce & maintain platform security.
  • Ensure documentation on processes, policies, and configuration is developed and maintained.
  • Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users.
  • Provide support for Salesforce projects and work with team members including Developers, Testers, Project Managers, Cyber Security, Architects and Business Analysts.
  • Assign work activities, mentor and provide support to the environments team

 

Skills and Experience 

 

Looking for

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator with a minimum of 4 years’ experience within Salesforce eco-system.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and coordination across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in leading the design, implementation, and governance of Salesforce environment strategies and automation frameworks across complex, multi-squad or enterprise settings.
  • Salesforce product knowledge, and a strong understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules).
  • Experience working in a Salesforce application or environment support role, interacting with integration partners, issues resolution
  • Hands-on experience in managing Salesforce related CI/CD processes using GitLab or a similar tool.

 

Highly regarded

  • Team leads experience.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification and experience.
  • Strong Understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies.
