Job Description
Talent Street is looking for 2 x MS Power Platform Developers to join one of our Qld government clients.
This is a long term contract until the end of December, with possible extension. Based in Brisbane CBD, this role will require to work 2 to 3 days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities
As the Senior Technical Specialist (MS Power Platform Developer), you will be responsible for:
- Lead and facilitate the design, development, testing, documentation, deployment and customisation of the Training Activity Management (TAM) Power Platform solution, tailored to business requirements.
- Integrate Power Apps with Dataverse, OneLake using Microsoft Fabric connectors, APIs and other custom connectors, including integration with Azure DevOps.
- Create data visualisations and embed Power BI analytics into Power Apps for real-time insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers and IT professionals to design and maintain effective data models, transform and optimise data flows to ensure efficient retrieval and application performance.
- Create technical prototypes, wireframes and documentation to enable translation of business requirements into functional designs.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable and compliant with organisational security policies, data governance standards, and Microsoft best practices.
- Ensure quality, reliability and performance of solutions, through development and execution of testing artefacts, including unit and integration tests.
- Provide support for Subject Matter Experts and perform troubleshooting, including root cause analysis and document resolutions.
What we are looking for
The position requires an applicant who can demonstrate or has:
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience as a Microsoft Power Platform developer, including user centric designs, with a proven track record of contributing to the delivery of complex business initiatives.
- Problem Solving Abilities: The capability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure project success.
- Strategic Alignment: Experience aligning technical delivery efforts with strategic objectives, ensuring that solutions support the overarching goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
- Delivery: Hands-on experience translating business requirements into actionable solutions, collaborating across teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Agile and DevOps Experience: Demonstrated experience with applying Agile methodologies to Power Platform development practices, and Azure DevOps for development of CI/CD pipelines.
- Adaptability and Resilience: The flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and timelines, coupled with resilience to navigate challenges and setbacks effectively.
- Decision Support: Track record of contributing to informed decision-making through clear and insightful analysis.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements, user-centric designs, streamlining workflows to reduce time to delivery, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Proficiency in documenting analysis findings, requirements, technical configurations, workflows and solution designs to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing with stakeholders, in clear and concise formats.
Role requirements
- Previous experience (3+ years) in Microsoft Power Platform and associated ecosystem, Azure Pipelines/Fabric and Power Apps Flows. Microsoft certification, such as Power Platform Developer Associate or Azure certifications, are highly desirable.
- Experience in integrating and consuming Azure platform services across components using Pipelines, Dataverse, Fabric and Power Apps Flows.
- Comprehensive understanding of Azure DevOps pipelines, release and environment management, within an Agile delivery environment.
- Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment.
- Citizenship/visa: to be appointed to a position, you must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia.
