Job Description
Talent Street is looking for an Enterprise Architect on a part time basis (2 days per week) for one of our Qld Government clients.
The Enterprise Architect will join a new Strategic Division led by the Chief Digital Officer. The division is responsible for the design and development of new and enhanced data and digital capabilities, seeking our innovative digital solutions and building towards the future digital landscape. The Division also has the lead responsibility for data and AI within the organisation.
The Enterprise Architect, with specialisation in Business Architecture, is required to commence the work of the Digital Roadmap team, responsible for the development of the Service’s blueprint and roadmap with a focus on contemporary service experience and a cohesive approach to enterprise architecture.
The scope includes:
- Work with the current Enterprise Architects team to provide a picture of the current health of the enterprise technology stack through the lens of Business Architecture, which will enable the Strategic Division to deliver a no surprises approach to executive and articulate investment decisions to be discussed over the next 0-3 years.
- Develop a visual, simple narrative together with a heatmap of the size of investment required given either contractual or lifecycle across the stack.
- Assess maturity of the current enterprise architecture model and provide recommendations on how to evolve.
- Establishing a Business Architecture capability and building maturity of the capability within the organisation.
Key accountabilities and skills set
The Enterprise Architect will have the ability to work effectively with technical subject matter experts across various teams and build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Essential skills/experience:
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise architectural design patterns, frameworks and guiding artefacts, particularly in complex service and business organisations
- Demonstrated experience in Business Architecture and uplifting organizational capability.
- Awareness of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, QGEA).
Desirable requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology or similar field.
- Enterprise Architecture related certifications

- Develop a representation of the current health of the enterprise technology stack.
- Develop a narrative to identify the size of investment required for either contractual or lifecycle across the stack.
