THE ROLE

Our client, a large Queensland Government department, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Business Analyst for a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension. You'll be embedded in a high-priority program of work focused on migrating multiple frontline systems into a new enterprise CRM platform. Working closely with program leads, technical BAs, SMEs, and data teams, you'll ensure data is understood, cleansed, documented, and migration-ready. This is a hybrid role — 3 days in the CBD office, 2 days working from home after an initial settling-in period.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Conducting comprehensive data quality assessments across identified source systems to establish data integrity baselines and flag areas of risk
• Developing a structured data cleansing strategy and implementation plan to remediate quality issues ahead of migration
• Establishing functional data definitions, selection criteria, and migration scope for identified data assets
• Mapping source system fields to CRM target fields and validating migrated data for accuracy and completeness
• Engaging and consulting with diverse stakeholder groups
• Supporting business analysis activities including requirements gathering and process documentation

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Proven experience working with large enterprise systems, CMS, and CRM platforms
• Strong capability in data analysis, data mapping, and integration concepts
• Demonstrated experience in data cleansing and data quality improvement
• Solid background in a Business Analyst role, including requirements gathering and process documentation
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to facilitate workshops across varied groups
• Experience with Power BI and other reporting tools
• Clear communication skills — able to translate complex technical data concepts into plain business language

NICE TO HAVE

• Previous experience in Queensland Government or public sector environments
