D365 Solution Architect
- Location: ACT (3 days onsite) or interstate (Melbourne or Sydney) with travel to Canberra (approx. 1 week/month)
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
- Clearance: Must obtain Baseline
- 12 Month Initial Contract with 2 X 12 Month Extensions
Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end solution architecture across Dynamics 365 platforms within a complex enterprise environment. You will act as the technical authority across multiple projects, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with broader enterprise architecture and Azure ecosystem standards.
You will operate at both strategic and delivery levels, shaping architecture direction while working closely with Agile teams to ensure successful implementation. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, the ability to run design workshops, and ownership of solution integrity from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead end-to-end solution architecture for D365 projects, ensuring consistency with enterprise standards
- Define and maintain architecture artefacts including high-level designs, solution models and technical documentation
- Lead architecture design workshops and reviews, acting as the accountable authority for solution integrity
- Design and oversee integrations between D365, Azure services and third-party systems
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Agile delivery teams across all project phases
- Translate business requirements into scalable, fit-for-purpose technical solutions
- Ensure alignment with Azure architecture, DevOps practices, security and configuration-first design principles
- Support delivery teams with backlog definition, technical planning and issue resolution
- Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks across projects
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture and governance teams to ensure alignment with organisational frameworks
Core Skills
- Dynamics 365 CE / CRM
- Dataverse (configuration + customisation)
- Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Pages)
- Azure integration stack (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, Data Factory, APIM)
- Solution design, ALM and DevOps
Experience Required
- 5+ years as a D365 Solution Architect
- Strong Azure and integration experience
- Agile delivery experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Federal Government experience
- Knowledge of Digital Service Standard / human-centred design
