Project Manager – Teams Calling & Digital Transformation (Contract)

Location: Brisbane
Engagement: Contract – 5 months

About the Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a Technical Delivery environment and lead the planning, governance, and delivery of a Teams Calling implementation project.
  • This role will also support governance and reporting for Machinery of Government (MoG) related ICT activities, ensuring strong coordination across agencies, vendors, and internal technology teams.
  • You will be responsible for establishing the project management framework, driving structured delivery, and ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed scope, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project planning, risk, change, quality, and resource management
  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks and artefacts
  • Monitor and report on schedules, benefits, dependencies, finances, and project status
  • Manage budgets, procurement activities, vendor engagements, and contracts
  • Provide expert advice to project and program boards
  • Facilitate project assurance activities to mitigate delivery risks
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams including Active Directory, Networks, Security, Service Desk, Servers, and Desktop
  • Develop implementation and rollout schedules for enterprise collaboration services
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across technical and business domains
  • Support governance and reporting for ICT Machinery of Government initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience managing multi-channel ICT projects and technology-enabled transformation
  • Strong expertise in PRINCE2 Agile and structured delivery methodologies
  • Experience delivering service digitisation and transformation initiatives
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated capability in managing budgets, vendors, and contracts
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-team environments
  • Experience coordinating technical streams such as networks, identity, security, and desktop services
  • Strong governance, reporting, and risk management capability

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within Queensland Government or public sector ICT environments
  • Exposure to Machinery of Government (MoG) transitions
  • Experience negotiating with senior stakeholders on resourcing and scheduling
  • Background in enterprise collaboration or unified communications projects
