Job Description

IT Infrastructure Officer Location: Hervey Bay
Type: Temporary Full-Time (36.25 hours per week)

We’re looking for a skilled IT Infrastructure Officer to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, supporting the ongoing availability, performance, and security of corporate IT systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments
  • Administer the full lifecycle of infrastructure assets (physical, virtual, and cloud)
  • Manage system updates, software patches, and security compliance
  • Deliver cyber security awareness and training to staff
  • Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Coordinate IT projects and vendor relationships to ensure efficient delivery
  • Provide high-quality customer support to internal stakeholders

About You
You’re a proactive problem solver who thrives on keeping systems secure and reliable. You can balance hands-on technical work with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
You’ll also bring:

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and administering Windows environments
  • Solid understanding of networks, Microsoft 365, servers, and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to great customer service
  • A current QLD driver’s licence is required.
