Role: Service Designer

Talent Street is looking for a Service Designer for one of our Victorian State government clients.
The role of a Service Designer consults with technology and business representatives to enable collaborative design of processes, systems, and tools. They champion the voice of the user and create workable end-to-end process maps to enable business process streamlining and automation. They work with a team to initiate, design, develop and deliver business enabling tools and processes.
Duties to be performed:
• Engage and collaborate with teams across the wider organisation to champion the benefits of service design, to build consensus between stakeholders, and to influence key staff and leaders in the adoption of new and innovative service delivery approaches.
• Lead design-thinking style workshops and sessions, including customer interviews, focus groups and customer workshops to clearly articulate and generate actionable insights and opportunities to be iterated and/or prototyped through the service design and delivery process.
• Requirements Identification: Drive the identification of requirements, address inefficiencies, and optimise processes through collaboration with stakeholders and analysis of real-time data.
• Solution Design: Develop innovative technical solutions that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Process Documentation: Lead workshops to document current and future business processes, gathering requirements and facilitating solution design.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality documentation and user requirements are met through rigorous quality checks and validation.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for process optimisation, contributing to the development of user-friendly, scalable systems.
• Provide recommendations on appropriate technologies, systems and strategies for the ICT landscape.
• Supports product roadmaps and program increment planning process to ensure the right priorities are the focus of delivery teams.
• Ensure that agile analyst practice aligns with defined business needs, enterprise, solution and technical architecture, and complies to organisation standards.
