ICT Procurement Specialist / ICT Contract Manager

Contract Duration: 16/03/2026 to 12/03/2027

The ICT Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in delivering strategic sourcing and procurement outcomes across high-profile ICT programs within a Queensland Government environment. The role operates within established Queensland Government contracting frameworks, including QITC/GITC and General Goods and Services, in accordance with relevant government procurement policies and procedures.

This position operates approximately 50/50 across strategic sourcing and ICT contract management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of strategic sourcing approaches and contract management plans to achieve required procurement outcomes and realise identified benefits.
• Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing activities including market analysis, sourcing strategy development, procurement planning, evaluation and contract award in line with QITC and Queensland Government procurement requirements.
• Administer contracts in accordance with approved Contract Management Plans, actively managing performance and key performance indicators to ensure expected outcomes are delivered.
• Maintain contract integrity through appropriate documentation of amendments and accurate record keeping.
• Establish and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships, including delivery partners and service providers, and manage procurement and contract governance processes in line with contractual obligations.
• Lead research, analysis and interpretation of complex procurement, contract and operational matters.
• Identify and manage daily issues and emerging risks in a commercially sensitive environment across sourcing and contract management phases.
• Monitor and manage risk to ensure an acceptable risk profile and contribute to improved ICT procurement and contract management practices.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, briefing notes and correspondence relating to strategic sourcing, procurement and contract performance matters.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
• Maintain quarterly Key Performance Indicators where applicable.

Experience & Capability

• High level, expert knowledge of ICT Contract Management within the QITC contractual framework is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of the QITC framework for ICT Strategic Sourcing and Procurement will be highly regarded.
• Current and varied experience across public and private sector environments is desirable.

Location

Brisbane based role with hybrid working arrangements available. Some office attendance will be required.
