Manager ICT Shared Services – Project Manager (EL1 Equivalent)
Location: Canberra, ACT
Hours: Full-time, 7.5 hours per day
Start Date: Late September 2025
Contract: Until 30 June 2026 (with possible extension)
Clearance: Must hold NV1 Security Clearance
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead the transition of ICT services into a shared services environment. This is a pivotal role that requires a strong leader who can deliver a major ICT transition project, while also providing technical and managerial support to an in-house ICT operations team.
As the ICT Shared Services Project Manager, you will develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy, oversee the transition to shared services, and ensure that business needs are met through secure, reliable, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the transition of ICT services to a shared services provider, ensuring continuity of operations and value-for-money outcomes.

Develop and implement an ICT strategy aligned with organisational goals.

Provide guidance and advice to senior stakeholders on ICT-related decisions.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Oversee ICT operations, including staff management, budgets, and resource allocation.

Ensure cyber security and data protection measures are effectively implemented.

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Financial management expertise (SFIA Level 4): experience monitoring ICT budgets, financial reporting, and cost planning for ICT projects and services.

Project management skills (SFIA Level 5): proven ability to lead medium-scale ICT projects, apply project management methodologies, manage risks, and deliver outcomes on time and within budget.

Stakeholder engagement ability (SFIA Level 5): strong experience in building relationships, facilitating communication, and acting as the key point of contact for ICT project delivery.
You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, government-aligned environment and confident managing both project delivery and operational ICT support functions.
