About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – S/4HANA to lead the transition to a modern, cloud-based SAP S/4HANA finance platform from ECC6. This is part of a broader finance transformation program across multiple government agencies, requiring strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and governance expertise.

The role will oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment across business areas, effective stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, and the delivery of high-quality project artefacts and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, working closely with business areas, executives, subject matter experts, and other agencies.

  • Deliver high-level communication and documentation to sponsors and stakeholders, including progress reports, milestone tracking, and benefits realisation.

  • Develop and deliver project activities using recognised methodologies (Prince2/Agile), program governance frameworks, and change management strategies.

  • Proactively manage project risks, issues, and escalations within an established governance framework.

  • Produce high-quality project artefacts such as submissions, reports, highlight reports, briefing notes, presentations, and recommendations.

  • Drive organisational change and ensure stakeholders are engaged and prepared for the transition.

Role Suitability

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management.

  • Strong background in financial systems projects, preferably with SAP implementations.

  • Demonstrated experience in project reporting, governance, and working within government or large, complex organisations.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven ability to lead organisational reform and transformational change initiatives.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage risks and propose practical solutions.

Highly regarded:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analysis, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  • Project/program management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile).
