Job Description
About the company
Talent Street is supporting a large Queensland government agency in appointing an Enterprise Architect on an initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension. The agency is in the middle of a major digital-health transformation program, so the work is high-impact and highly visible.
About the role
Sitting within the central Digital Architecture team and reporting to the Senior Director, you’ll own the end-to-end technology blueprint that underpins statewide clinical and business systems. Key focuses include:
-
Developing and maintaining enterprise-wide architecture, standards, and roadmaps (cloud, infrastructure, apps, data, security).
-
Reviewing new project proposals to ensure they’re strategic, cost-effective, and secure.
-
Guiding solution architects and project teams through best-practice patterns and design oversight.
-
Driving lean, agile, and sustainable architecture principles across a federated environment.
-
Influencing C-suite, clinicians, and vendors to align investments with business objectives.
What you need
To be successful, you’ll be able to demonstrate:
-
5+ years’ experience in enterprise architecture/design within large, complex organisations.
-
A track record of setting technology strategy that delivers fit-for-purpose, value-for-money solutions.
-
Strong stakeholder engagement skills—you translate tech speak for executives, clinicians, and vendors alike.
-
Experience leading cloud, infrastructure, and application-modernisation initiatives.
-
Deep understanding of architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar) and governance processes.
-
Strategic planning capability plus the agility to balance quick wins with long-term roadmaps.
-
(Nice to have) Exposure to public-sector or health-sector environments.
Benefits
-
Daily rate — $1,150 (inclusive of super).
-
Chance to shape some of the most complex, statewide digital-health projects in Queensland.
-
Hybrid working — 4 days from home, 1 day on-site (Fortitude Valley).
-
High probability of contract extension on a multi-year program.
