Talent Street is looking for a Software Developer (MuleSoft) for one of our large Victorian State government clients.

 

Role purpose  

 

The MuleSoft Integration Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining integration solutions that enable seamless data flow and connectivity across enterprise systems. This role requires deep expertise in MuleSoft, including API-led connectivity, integration patters, and microservice architecture. The role is critical in ensuring that integrations are secure, reliable, scalable and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

 

The successful candidate will bring strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex integration requirements into robust technical solutions. They will be experienced in API design, implementation and governance, and able to work collaboratively in delivery teams. Clear communication skills will be essential to partner with stakeholders, understand business needs, and ensure integration solutions deliver measurable outcomes.

 

Essential skills & Capabilities

  • Proven experience in developing, deploying and managing integrations using MuleSoft
  • Strong expertise in API-Led connectivity and REST/SOAP web services.
  • Strong experience in Application Development using Mule ESB and SOA/EAI technologies and API management using MMC and Anypoint platform
  • Must have experience with designing Restful APIs using API description tools such as RAML, Swagger, API blueprint, etc.
  • Strong understanding of integration design pattern, error handling and message transformation
  • Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Experience implementing API security authentication, and authorisation standards (e.g. OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GIT repositories, and automated deployment in tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of cloud and hybrid integration models, including Azure and AWS environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging and performance optimisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Essential : 5+ years’ experience in MuleSoft development
