THE ROLE
Our client is a large, well-established not-for-profit organisation in the health and community services sector — and one of Queensland's biggest employers. They're mid-way through a complex finance and procurement technology implementation spanning Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Coupa, and EPM, and they need an experienced Training Specialist to design, develop, and deliver practical, role-based learning across the programme. This is a contract role based in Brisbane until June 2027, reporting directly to the Change Lead.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Conducting training needs analysis and translating role impacts into clear learning pathways
• Designing and developing facilitator guides, learner guides, job aids, quick-reference guides, system walkthroughs, and digital learning content
• Delivering engaging face-to-face and virtual instructor-led training across finance, procurement, and system content
• Facilitating structured content-development sessions with stream leads, process leads, and subject-matter experts
• Managing learning deliverables, reviews, approvals, and version control against an integrated project schedule
• Supporting train-the-trainer activities and preparing other facilitators for consistent delivery
• Using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Copilot, and AI tools to develop and manage learning content
• Identifying risks and dependencies early and keeping development progressing in a fast-moving project environment
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• Proven experience as a Training Specialist or Learning Designer in a project or transformation environment
• Strong understanding of finance or corporate services processes — including procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and budgeting and planning
• Hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, procurement, or EPM platforms (D365 Finance, Coupa, Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP, or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to translate system and process design into practical, role-based learning
• Strong Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Copilot capability
• Excellent written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to work with senior leaders and busy SMEs
• Relevant tertiary qualification in education, business, HR, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience in health, aged care, government, or not-for-profit organisations
• Background in shared services, corporate services, or enterprise-wide transformation programmes
• Exposure to finance-related change such as financial systems implementations or operating model redesign
