Solution Architect – Cloud & Dynamics 365 Migration

Location: Brisbane CBD
Engagement: Contract 6 Month with an additional 6 month extension 

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership for a major transformation initiative involving the migration of an enterprise Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform from on-premise to a secure, scalable SaaS cloud environment.

This role will be responsible for defining the target architecture, integration approach, and operational model to enable confident planning, delivery, and ongoing support. You will work closely with ICT stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure the solution is secure, cost-effective, and aligned with long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Solution Architecture Specification (SAS) covering application, data, integration, and platform layers
• Define current and target state architectures to support migration to cloud-based Dynamics 365 SaaS
• Produce detailed integration designs outlining APIs, data flows, and SaaS-compatible patterns
• Make solution placement decisions across applications, middleware, and cloud services
• Design for performance, scalability, security (IAM/SSO), resilience, backup/DR, and networking
• Define target operational model including DevOps, monitoring, release management, and support
• Support development of prototypes to validate feasibility and performance
• Identify architectural dependencies, constraints, risks, and technical debt
• Provide input into cost modelling and run-cost considerations
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery alignment

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect or Cloud Architect
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Proven background in cloud migration strategies (rehost, re-platform, re-architect)
• Solid understanding of Dynamics 365 / CRM architectures
• Experience across software development, system integration, and infrastructure design
• Ability to design secure, enterprise-scale solutions in regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience within large government or complex enterprise settings highly regarded
