Role: Manager - Systems Safety Assurance
Locations: Brisbane
Duration: Contract – 12 months (with extensions)
Reports to: Manager – Requirements
Talent Street is looking for a Manager - Systems Safety Assurance for one of our large Queensland State government clients.
Role purpose:
Manager - Systems Safety Assurance is responsible for leading safety assurance activities across the project to ensure that all systems are designed, implemented, and operated in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. This role oversees the identification, assessment, and management of safety risks, ensuring that safety assurance processes are integrated into the project lifecycle.
Role requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience in systems safety assurance and accreditation.
- Knowledge of ONRSR Rail Safety National Law and Queensland Rail safety case processes.
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary safety teams.
- Demonstrated experience preparing safety cases and engaging/ working with regulators.
- Ability to expand systems thinking beyond the rail environment to encompass systems required for other key stakeholders and returned works owners.
