Brisbane based, with some travel required to sites across SEQ during delivery phases.

Purpose of the Role
This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, developing, and managing complex technical integration solutions across major rail systems. The focus is on ensuring compatibility between physical and digital systems, resolving complex interface issues, and enabling safe, reliable, and operationally ready systems for future passenger services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions to resolve complex system integration challenges (physical and digital).
• Lead the resolution of issues related to system interfaces, configuration, and compatibility across multiple delivery workstreams.
• Work closely with engineering, design and commercial teams to ensure technical solutions align with project frameworks, scope and constraints.
• Contribute to solution design, development, test planning and commissioning activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in system integration and interface management approaches.
• Capture, document and share lessons learned across similar major programs.
• Contribute expertise and advice to other rail project teams (consistency of integration approaches, uplift, standards alignment).

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in technical integration, systems engineering, or engineering leadership roles on major rail infrastructure programs (>$100M).
• Tertiary qualification in systems, electrical, mechanical or similar engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated expertise building and implementing solutions for complex systems integration.
• Excellent communication capability – able to simplify, distil and explain complex technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.

Highly regarded
• CPEng / NER / RPEQ or equivalent chartered engineering credentials.
