About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support the planning and delivery of major digital initiatives within a large, complex environment.

This role will focus on designing and implementing solutions that standardise data management and integration processes across enterprise systems. You will work closely with strategy, architecture, and security teams, as well as technical leads, to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and future-ready technology solutions.

In addition to core solution design, the role will involve contributions to applications in scheduling, geospatial data, analytics, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Document current state architectures and assess existing solutions.
Review business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
Design, document, and present future state architectures.
Assist in the development of technical requirements for new solutions.
Analyse solution options, prepare recommendations, and support decision-making.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture strategies, standards, and principles.
Contribute to innovation initiatives such as Proof of Concepts.
Build and maintain effective relationships with both business and technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience
Broad experience across architectural domains: business, information, application, technology, and information security.
Strong capability in developing architecture artefacts (conceptual/logical designs, diagrams, integration models).
Background in software engineering, infrastructure design, and cloud solutions (preferably AWS).
Familiarity with geospatial data and system security best practices.
Experience evaluating technical options and preparing recommendations.
Understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.

Highly Desirable
5+ years’ experience in solution architecture for large enterprise environments.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices and frameworks (TOGAF certification desirable).
AWS certifications.
Experience across both public and private sector settings.
Exposure to Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) solutions, including field hardware such as cameras and sensors.

Additional Information
Candidates must be available to attend the office for at least 50% of the engagement period.
Applicants must be willing to travel between multiple office locations within Brisbane.
A Criminal History Check will be required.
