Talent Street is looking for Cloud Engineer (AWS Python) for a Federal Government agency for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Role: Cloud Engineer (AWS Python)

Level: APS6

Client: Federal Government Agency

Location: Canberra, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Hobart

Type: Fixed Term Contract

Salary: $92,210 + 15.4% superannuation

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities

Your role may include the following duties:

• The development of innovative solutions to meet business needs and better support our clients.
• Delivering system improvements to the existing system
• Management of source code
• Developing our reporting capabilities
• Ensuring the overall health and reliability of our system implementation and architecture
• Ensuring our environment meets current security requirements

Skills and Knowledge

• Software engineering and/or enterprise application integration skills and experience, including relevant ICT qualifications
• Client liaison, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as an effective member of a team
• Ability to analyse requirements, build new functionality and provide robust design solutions
• Demonstrated passion for developing quality code and an eye for detail
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex business and system related problems

As well as at least one of the following (multiple would be highly desirable – dependent on role):

• Experience developing in AWS or similar cloud services
• Python
• CDK and Typescript
• SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with Postgres or Aurora Databases
• CI/CD experience with GitLab or similar.
