Job Description

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join a software development team delivering enterprise web and mobility solutions. The Senior Developer will work within the team to design, develop, and deliver new features for core applications and associated mobile/web solutions.

 

Key Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain features for enterprise web and mobility solutions.
  • Deliver high-quality, testable, and maintainable code using .NET technologies.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by customers.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to understand and address business needs.
  • Apply agile methodologies to manage and deliver work effectively.
  • Produce technical documentation to support system development and maintenance.

 

Essential Qualifications / Skills

  • Minimum 7 years’ commercial full-stack development experience with:
    • .NET Framework 4+, C#, and general web development.
    • Entity Framework, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
    • Angular 10+.
    • GIT with strong understanding of branching models.
  • Strong capability in delivering robust, testable solutions and associated documentation.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working directly with clients to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  • Experience in agile system development practices.
  • Advantageous:
    • Spatial development experience.
    • Mobile Web and Progressive Web Application (PWA) experience.

 

Highly Desirable Qualifications / Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively across a broad range of activities.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in business terms to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working within government organisations (preferable but not mandatory).
  • Previous experience in large IT/ICT projects, especially those involving complex business change.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with:
    • Esri ArcGIS, ArcMap, Leaflet, GeoJson.
    • Application performance tuning and optimisation.
    • JIRA and Confluence.
