About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Security to lead our cyber security operations. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic direction with a willingness to be hands-on when critical situations arise. A key focus will be on building, scaling, and maturing Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams, while driving the delivery of security programs and fostering a strong security-aware culture across the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and develop the Security Operations Team to ensure delivery of cyber security services.
  • Implement and continuously improve the Information Security Management Framework.
  • Scope, plan, and deliver complex security programs and initiatives.
  • Oversee and coordinate responses to audits, compliance checks, and incident triage.
  • Align organisational risk and compliance with policies, regulations, and frameworks, identifying and addressing gaps.
  • Drive awareness and ownership of security across the organisation.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • 7+ years in cyber security leadership roles, engaging with executives and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing, building, and scaling Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams.
  • Strong track record in developing and delivering security strategies, roadmaps, and programs.
  • Deep knowledge of security standards, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, supported by relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer).
